Liverpool are near to agreeing a deal to sign Norwich City’s James Maddison and are also in talks over a move for Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon.
That is the claim being made in an “exclusive” article by Anfield Edition, in which they claim that Maddison has spoken to a “contact” of theirs.
They are reporting that the England under-21 international has told them that he is on the verge of agreeing the switch to Anfield.
Maddison is also said to have informed them that he is looking forward to the prospect of linking up with international room-mate Trent Alexander-Arnold next season.
He has been in fine form for the Championship side this season, scoring fifteen goals and laying on eight assists for his team-mates.
The twenty-one year old has been linked with several Premier League clubs, but it would seem that Jurgen Klopp has won the race if there is any truth in these claims.
Sessegnon, meanwhile, has been attracting interest from just about every top club in the country and will likely have his pick this Summer.
Fulham getting promoted could complicate any deal, but that will not stop bids being made for his services.
