Roma president James Pallotta has dismissed the idea that Alisson could be on the move this Summer.
The Brazil international has been regularly linked with a move away from the Serie A club – but they appear determined not to let the goalkeeper make an exit at the end of the campaign.
“I don’t understand why people keep asking me if Alisson will be our goalkeeper next season.” he is quoted by The Express.
“We have no intention of selling him. No chance.
“We thought he was a great goalkeeper when we signed him and there is no way we are selling.” he finished.
Liverpool have been among the clubs heavily touted as a potential suitors for the Brazil international and it has been widely expected that the Italian club would be losing another key player.
But their Champions League form this season appears to have stiffened their resolve as they seek to avoid another departure of a star player after Mohamed Salah moved to Anfield last Summer and defender Emerson Palmeri joined Chelsea in January.
Liverpool will get a close look at Alisson when the two sides meet in the semi-finals of the competition later this month.
