Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has said that it is “very special” to play for the club.
The Egypt international has been a revelation at Anfield season, scoring thirty-nine goals so far in his maiden campaign with the club since arriving last Summer.
And the former Basel, Chelsea, Fiorentina and Roma man is reveling in being part of the squad which has made it through to the last four of the Champions League this season.
“There’s something very special about playing for Liverpool.” he told CNN.
“The Champions League nights are special for the fans too.
“You can feel it on the streets.” he continued.
Salah scored in both legs of the quarter final win over Premier League leaders City, netting the away goal which all but ended the contest during the second-half of Tuesday’s return leg at The Etihad.
“The atmosphere in that first game against Man City was the first time I had really seen something like that.” he said.
“When we saw the draw, everyone knew it would be a difficult game.
“I knew it would be difficult but I said we had to be positive and win.
“That’s what we did.” he finished.
