Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has said that he isn’t particularly worried who the club draws in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
The England international was part of the team which beat rivals Manchester City 3-0 and 2-1, a 5-1 aggregate win, over two legs in the quarter finals – and he feels it sets the players on their way to the last four in good shape.
“Whoever we get in the next round it doesn’t matter.” he said.
“This is a massive confidence booster for us. To beat City twice is no easy feat.
“We did it twice in a week and we also did it at an earlier stage this season.
“It just shows to us that when we are at the right level we can beat anyone.
“People might say Roma is the preference but look what they did, they performed amazingly well.
“It doesn’t matter who we get, we have to make sure we are ready for anyone and we can beat anyone.” he finished.
The draw will take place on Friday morning, with the potential opponents being AS Roma, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
