Paris Saint Germain have put Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on their shortlist of possible replacements for Unai Emery.
That’s according to La Parisien, who are claiming that the German has been put alongside Luis Enrique, Carlo Ancelotti and Antonio Conte as contenders to be the French giants next boss.
Former Sevilla manager Emery has come under intense pressure this season and the exit from the Champions League at the last sixteen stage has not gone down well at the Parc des Princes.
The Ligue 1 leaders are determined to make their mark in Europe by winning the Champions League, but won’t be able to claim a maiden title this season thanks to the early exit.
A comfortable 5-2 aggregate defeat at the hands of Real Madrid did the Spanish coach no favours as he looks to save his job at the French club, with his side losing both legs to the La Liga champions.
Klopp is under contract at Anfield until the end of the 2021/22 season and has no intentions of leaving the club any time soon, so Liverpool fans can rest easy.
The former Borussia Dortmund manager will no doubt be coveted by other top European clubs, but he is not ready to end his spell in charge here just yet.
