Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp remains keen on bringing Germany international Julian Draxler to Anfield.
That’s according to a report by TransfermarketWeb, in which they claim that a Summer bid for the Paris Saint Germain winger could well be in the pipeline.
The double signing of Neymar from Barcelona and Kylian Mbappe from AS Monaco last Summer saw Draxler drop down the pecking order at the Parc des Princes and he could decide to cut his losses and make an exit this Summer.
If he does opt to seek a move away from the Ligue 1 leaders, he will no doubt be given plenty of offers as he considers his next move – likely to be after the World Cup.
Klopp attempted to bring his compatriot to Anfield back in January 2017 when he left Wolfsburg to join the French giants, but the twenty-four year old decided to head to Paris instead.
It would put current left-winger Sadio Mane’s position under serious pressure if Draxler were to be added to Klopp’s squad ahead of the 2018/19 season and he would not come cheap either.
Klopp has already got a deal lined up to bring Naby Keita to the club this Summer and the addition of Draxler would only see anticipation ahead of next season increase.
But whether he is genuinely still interested in signing him remains to be seen.
