Liverpool are keen to sign Manchester City youngster Javairo Dilrosun.
That’s according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, who are reporting that the teenager is attracting plenty of interest from around Europe.
Benfica are claimed to have already opened discussions over a move for the young attacker as they plot to steal a march on the other clubs monitoring his situation.
The article claims that Dilrosun was in Lisbon last week to speak to Benfica officials about the prospect of moving to Portugal when his deal at The Etihad expires.
But that is not where the interest in the Dutchman ends, as RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Valencia are all said to be keeping a close eye on him.
Dilrosun moved to City from Eredivisie giants Ajax back in 2014, but has so far failed to make the breakthrough into Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad.
Liverpool will not be able to discuss terms with him until the end of the season, which hands the clubs outside of the Premier League the advantage as they can negotiate with him now.
The chance to remain in England and to play for Jurgen Klopp may appeal to the Holland under-19 international.
