Liverpool will give Chelsea youngster Isaac Christie-Davies another chance to show he’s worth signing against Manchester United under-23s on Friday night.
The twenty year old has been told by the London club that they will not be offering him a contract extension.
He has been given a trial by Liverpool, which will be overseen by under-23 manager Neil Critchley as he considers whether to offer the midfielder a contract.
“Isaac has been notified by Chelsea that his contract won’t be renewed.” he told the Echo.
“So we are taking the opportunity to have a look at him.
“He was in for a few days of training before the Leicester game but it would be unfair to judge him off the back of that game because of how young we were as a side.
“I thought he showed more of what he’s about in the second-half. If you have been at Chelsea for so many years, you’ve clearly got ability.
“We saw some of that in the second-half and I think we’ll see more of it on Friday night.
“It’s open-ended how long he’s here. We don’t have another game after Friday for ten days so we’ll review it then.” he finished.
