Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is ready to “play whoever we get” in the quarter finals of the Champions League.
The German saw his side qualify for the last eight of the competition following a 5-0 aggregate win over Portuguese champions FC Porto, with the job completed thanks to a 0-0 stalemate at Anfield on Tuesday evening.
While Klopp recognises that there will be plenty of good teams in the hat for the draw, he has backed his own side to be ready for “whoever we get” when the draw is made on Friday 16th March.
“The next round will be difficult, seven other very good teams.” he said.
“Maybe four of them are from England, which doesn’t make it easier.
“I think we will have a chance for sure to go to the semi-finals. We’ll take it step by step.
“We take it how it comes. We don’t wish for anybody. We play whoever we get.” he finished.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Spurs could all be waiting in the draw, should they all come through their respective ties.
