Liverpool are interested in signing two midfielders from Napoli.
That’s according to reports which claim that manager Jurgen Klopp has set his sights on both Jorginho and Piotr Zielinski.
Paul Joyce of The Times has claimed that Brazil-born Italy international Jorginho has emerged as a key Summer transfer target.
Meanwhile, it appears that Poland international Zielinski is back on Klopp’s radar after missing out on him two years ago.
The German was keen to bring him to Anfield from Serie A club Udinese in the Summer of 2016, but he opted to join Napoli after the Reds failed to agree a deal.
Calcio Mercato are reporting that Zielinski is back on the wanted list and Klopp could make a move to finally land him this year.
Manchester City could scupper any move for twenty-six year old Jorginho, after boss Pep Guardiola was impressed with his performances against his side in the Champions League group phase.
Klopp is set to rebuild his midfield in the Summer with the arrival of RB Leipzig man Naby Keita set to be the first arrival of what looks likely to be multiple deals.
Germany international Emre Can appears to be heading in the opposite direction, with a move to Napoli’s rivals Juventus on the cards.
