Klopp rules out Coutinho replacement

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has ruled out signing a replacement for Philippe Coutinho this week.

The Brazil international was sold to Barcelona in a deal worth a reported £145m earlier this month and the club have so far failed to bring in a replacement for the twenty-five year old.

Many supporters have been urging the German to make a move to bring in someone to add some creativity to a midfield which has looked flat in the defeats against Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion in the past week.

But Klopp has delivered some bad news to those fans who were hoping that he would spend some of the cash brought in from the sale of the playmaker.

“We have to stop thinking about.” he said.

“It’s not about replacing anybody.

“It’s about using our own opportunities, tools, players, tactics, all that stuff.” he finished.

Speculation has been rife that Klopp would launch a move to sign a replacement for Coutinho all month long, but it now looks like that can be put to bed as he concentrates on the players he has in his squad.

  1. Is he completely insane We have to insure the baffoonery of his blindness to the very poor goalkeeping and defence He had a squad of average players with an exception of some exceptional quality This squad is just about good enough to qualify for CL I am now convinced Liverpool are about trying to develop talent to sell for massive profit I feel for the supporters they really are being taken for mugs We all remember the good old days but everything was different then it is a disgrace
