Roma could allow goalkeeper Alisson to make an exit in order to raise some funds for new signings.
That’s according to a report by The Express, in which they claim that Liverpool could make a move for the Brazil international as the Italian club prepare for a potential “fire sale”.
And it’s not only the goalkeeper who could be allowed to make an exit from the Serie A side soon, as Holland international Kevin Strootman, Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan and Brazilian full-back Emerson Palmieri could all be set to make moves.
Liverpool have been linked with all four of those players at one stage or another, but it is Alisson who is reported to be of most interest to manager Jurgen Klopp at present.
The German boss is said to be keen on bringing in a new goalkeeper after losing faith in both Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius – and a deal to bring Alisson to Anfield could be in the pipeline.
But the agent of the twenty-five year old has indicated that his client is in no hurry to make a decision over his future as speculation over whether he will leave Roma or sign a new contract with them has been rife.
“Up to now I have not been contacted by anyone.” Ze Maria said when asked about an approach from Liverpool.
“He still has three and a half years left on his deal.
“We are not in a hurry and Alisson is happy in Rome.” he finished.
This does not look like a transfer situation that will reach a resolution during this month’s window – especially as big-spending French club Paris Saint Germain are also said to be keen on Alisson.
