Liverpool could be set to make a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
That’s according to a report by French outlet Le 10 Sport – who are reporting that the Reds could be set to use some of the £142m received from Barcelona for Philippe Coutinho to bring the forward to Anfield.
Chinese clubs Guenghzou Evergrande and Beijing Guoan are said to be keen to take the Gabon international striker to Asia this month as he seeks a fresh challenge.
But Aubameyang is yet to give the green light to his agent to negotiate a reported £65m switch to either of those sides and appears to be holding out for a move to a European giant.
The twenty-eight year old saw a return to AC Milan hit the skids last Summer – but that hasn’t seen his form drop for Dortmund as he has continued to find the net regularly this season.
He has so far notched an impressive thirteen goals in fifteen Bundesliga appearances this season and that will keep some of the biggest clubs in the game interested in signing him.
It remains to be seen whether Jurgen Klopp is keen on a reunion with his former Dortmund star, but he could do a lot worse than complete a move for the prolific striker if he decides to bring in another new face.
