United enter race to sign Pulisic

Manchester United are set to make a move for Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic.

That’s according to a report by The Daily Mail, in which it is claimed that Old Trafford boss Jose Mourinho has set his sights on the teenager as he plans his transfer business.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made attempts to bring the American youngster to Anfield since he left Dortmund over two years ago, but has seen his bids rejected by his former club.

Klopp was eager to sign the nineteen year old, but saw an offer turned down by his old side as they held out for a higher fee for one of their most prized assets.

The German boss went on to bring Egpyt international Mohamed Salah to the club instead and the former Chelsea winger has been a revelation since his arrival from AS Roma.

It remains to be seen whether Klopp is still interested in snapping up Pulisic – and if he does decide to launch a fresh bid to sign him, he will face stiff competition from Mourinho.

Pulisic has previously admitted to being a United supporter and this is likely to make a switch to Old Trafford very appealing to him.

“I was a big Manchester United fan when I was younger, so I loved to watch Wayne Rooney.” he told ESPN last year.
