Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has dismissed the speculation that a rivalry is developing between him and Sadio Mane.
The two attacking stars have been linking up well for the Reds this season, but talk has surfaced recently which claims that Mane has grown jealous of his team-mate.
Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has claimed that things look way during appearances of Match of the Day and BBC Radio Five Live, which has led to supporters considering the idea.
But Salah has rubbished the talk and said that the former Southampton man is one of his closest friends in the squad at Anfield.
“We are friends. We are very close to each other.” he told Sky Sports.
“Maybe he is my closest friend here in the team.
“We are friends, we like each other, he’s a great guy and a fantastic player who is very fast with quality and confidence.
“I am very happy to share everything in Africa with him, so I’m very happy also for him.” he finished.
