Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has welcomed the talk of Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho moving to Spain.
Talk of the Brazil international finally becoming a member of the Catalan club’s squad has been ongoing over the past eighteen months or so and three bids for his services were rejected in the Summer.
But talk has refused to go away and it seems certain that the La Liga leaders will return with a fourth offer to finally sign the twenty-five year old.
And Croatia international Rakitic has reacted positively to the idea of “good player” Coutinho making his way to the Camp Nou.
“Every good player is welcome. So we have to say that the doors are open for every good player, and Coutinho is a good player.” he told Sky Sports.
“With all respect to his club Liverpool, and his fans, we would be really happy if he came.
“But with all the respect if he stayed at Liverpool we would wish him all the luck in the world. We have to think about the players that are already here, I think we have a really good team.
“We have to do it together. If there is an opportunity to do it with Coutinho, or another player, perfect.” he finished.
