Real Madrid are planning to make a move to sign Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.
That’s the claim being made by Spanish newspaper Don Balon – who are reporting that the Spanish giants are set to make a player plus cash exchange offer for the twenty-five year old.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is said to be preparing a bid that would see Lucas Vazquez put up in part-exchange for the Egyptian international.
It will no doubt remind many Liverpool supporters of when the La Liga champions signed Michael Owen and gave the Reds winger Antonio Nunez in exchange.
Nunez was quite an unremarkable player and the highlight of his brief spell at Anfield was a consolation goal in the League Cup final defeat against Chelsea in Cardiff way back in early 2005.
So the prospect of seeing Salah leave the club with Vazquez arriving as part of the deal is unlikely to get many pulses racing around Liverpool supporters.
In an interesting twist to the story, AS Roma are said to be keen on signing Vazquez after allowing Salah to leave the Stadio Olimpico to join Liverpool back in the Summer.
Jurgen Klopp is likely to laugh off such a ridiculous offer for his new star.
