Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka has revealed that he will make a decision about his future next month.
The Germany international has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Previous rumours even claimed that the Reds would bring forward a transfer but making the Bundesliga club an offer in January to sign him then instead.
But that talk has slowed down as other clubs have continued to be linked with the twenty-two year old as he plots his next move – which he says will be decided upon in the new year.
“I have to find out for myself what the next step should be.” he said.
“I have to consider a million things. I am a person who is very meticulous in such decisions.
“I play through all the scenarios. So I need time.
“There doesn’t exist a deadline, but I think we are in the final phase.
“The final decision will be made in January.” he finished.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Barcelona have all been linked with offers for Goretzka.
So Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp faces a real battle to bring him to Anfield.
