Bayern Munich have placed Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on their shortlist of potential managerial appointments.
The German is on a shortlist of four highly reputable coaches to take up the job of managing the Bavarian club next Summer, according to a report by Bild.
The Bundesliga champions will hand the job to a new boss at the end of the season after sacking Italian Carlo Ancelotti earlier this season.
Jupp Heynckes took over as interim coach until the end of the season, in what is now his fourth stint in charge of the German giants, and is said to be among the contenders for the full-time position.
Former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel is also said to be on their shortlist as they seek to hand the job to someone long-term after letting Ancelotti go.
Germany boss Joachim Low is also a strong contender for the role as he considers his future following next Summer’s World Cup in Russia, in which his nation are a strong contender to take home the trophy.
Klopp has been linked with the job before and has signed a contract extension at Anfield, so the chances of him packing up after two years in the job seems unlikely.
Liverpool supporters will hope that he rejects any approach from Bayern.
