Paris Saint Germain defender Thiago Silva has admitted that he would like to see Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho join him in France.
The Brazil international has spoken candidly to Telefoot about his hopes to link up at club level with his compatriot next year and is keen to see a deal done in January.
“I talk a lot with Coutinho.” he said.
“I hope that at the end of the season or even before, it could be a nice surprise for us,” Silva is quoted as saying by Telefoot.
“I hope he will think well and that next year he will work with us.” he continued.
Brazil superstar Neymar has already joined the South American contingent at the Parc des Princes this year after leaving Barcelona in a world record deal back in the Summer.
And Silva is hopeful that Coutinho also listen to his advice about what to do with his future as speculation continues to link him with a move away from Anfield.
“As with Neymar, I give him a lot of advice.” he said.
“But I think the most important thing for him is to make the best decision.” he finished.
Liverpool supporters will hope that Coutinho opts to remain where he is and decides against listening to the flurry of advice coming from Brazil internationals both past and present.
