Paris Saint Germain superstar Neymar is attempting to convince Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho that his future lies with the French club.
Barcelona have been chasing the Brazil international this year and saw a series of offers immediately rejected by the Reds back in the Summer, but haven’t given up hope of securing a deal.
Le 10 Sport are reporting that Neymar is aiming to further anger his former employers by plotting a transfer for his compatriot to the Parc des Princes rather than the Camp Nou.
Coutinho’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, was pictured recently pictured having a meal with PSG’s sporting director Antero Henrique, which added fuel to the speculation that he could instead opt for a move to France.
Liverpool are not keen on letting Coutinho go, and certainly aren’t interested in selling in January, but are said to accept that he will again push for an exit next Summer.
The twenty-five year old saw a transfer request turned down by the club back in August, but that is unlikely to deter him from making the same move at the end of the Summer if interest remains from Barcelona and PSG.
Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is also said to be pushing for Coutinho to reunite with him at the Catalan club next year and Real Madrid are reported to be keeping a close eye on developments.
