French club Paris Saint Germain have made Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho their number one target for next Summer.
This is according to a report by TF1 in which they claim that the big spending outfit are determined to beat Barcelona to the Brazilian’s signature.
Liverpool rejected a series of offers from the La Liga club in the Summer and informed Coutinho that he would not be leaving Anfield before the transfer window closed.
Barcelona and PSG did business with eachother, despite the Spanish club seemingly against the idea, with Neymar heading to the Parc des Princes in a world record deal.
He had previously been trying to persuade Coutinho to join him at the Camp Nou with some very public calls for the Catalans to make a move.
It has been reported since that he wants to see his compatriot join him in the French capital and it seems that the club have listened to him as they prepare their move.
They will have to fight off lingering interest from Barcelona – who are said to be considering making a fourth offer in January to try and finally secure a deal.
Liverpool are unlikely to allow the twenty-five year old to leave in the Winter transfer window with Champions League knockout football and the race for fourth place in the Premier League likely to be on the agenda.
