Liverpool are reportedly stepping up their interest in Gremio forward Luan.
That’s according to a report by Globo Esporte, who are claiming that the Reds have dispatched a scout to watch the twenty-four year old in action this week.
Gremio took on Godoy Cruz in the Copa Libertadores on Wednesday night and the article claims that a representative from Anfield was present to check out the Brazilian.
Luan has been capped just once by the Brazil national side after impressing at both under-20 and under-23 level previously.
Russian club Spartak Moscow have been linked with a €20million bid for his services, but reports have claimed that the deal has broken down for him to head east to join them.
The forward is a versatile player who can operate in several positions in attack and midfield, which would be an asset in Jurgen Klopp’s system given the fluidity he likes in his attack.
It remains to be seen whether another attacking signing will be made this Summer, however.
