Klopp considering Renato Sanches bid

Renato Sanches in action against Chelsea last week

Liverpool are interested in signing Renato Sanches from Bayern Munich.

That’s according to a report by SportsBild, in which it is claimed that the teenager has become a potential alternative target for the club after talks continued to stall over a deal for Naby Keita of RB Leipzig.

Manager Jurgen Klopp is only looking to secure the nineteen year old’s signature on a permanent basis and is not keen on bringing the former Benfica man to Anfield on loan.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with a loan move for the Portugal international and are reported to be willing to meet the Bundesliga champion’s demands over the terms of a season-long deal.

But manager Carlo Ancelotti could be tempted into letting the midfielder go permanently if the right offer comes in this Summer after Sanches failed to hold down a regular place last season.

Manchester United were heavily linked with a move for the youngster before he opted to join the German giants, but they will not be making another move after landing Nemanja Matic from rivals Chelsea.

It seems unlikely that any offer from Liverpool will be made until the Keita deal is completely dead.

    1. Sanches could be a good alternative to Keita but am sick of rumours about player purchases only to find they are way off beam. Worse, also gets under my skin that we are following and watching for player chasing and purchasing only to find that FSG pulls the carpet not far from the last leg of obtaining such players. Why don’t they just sell the club to a set of reputable financiers who will see the team be looked after and help us back to where we belong – the way I see it, they only want what they can get out of it to fund their American interests.
