Liverpool will try to sign West Ham United midfielder Manuel Lanzini if Philippe Coutinho joins Barcelona.
That’s according to a report by Calciomercato, in which it is claimed that the Argentine will become a target for the club if Coutinho heads to Spain this Summer.
Twenty-five year old Coutinho has been strongly linked with a switch to the Camp Nou as Barcelona look to improve their squad ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
Some reports claim that the Brazil international would be a replacement for compatriot Neymar if he decides to leave the Catalans to sign for French club Paris Saint Germain – who are also keen on signing Coutinho.
Lanzini has impressed for West Ham since initially signing on loan back in the Summer of 2015 and has been linked with a switch to Anfield before.
Premier League rivals Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in the playmaker, who is keeping his cards close to his chest over his future.
“For now, I am thinking of the next game then thinking of having good holidays with the family. I am very happy here.” he said in May.
