Liverpool have been in discussions over three players with Lazio.
That’s according to a report by Italian outlet Il Messaggero, who are claiming that the Reds have talked about a deal with the Serie A side.
Brazil international Lucas Leiva is the subject of interest from Lazio and could potentially join them in a free transfer this Summer after becoming surplus to requirements at Anfield.
During the talks, Liverpool are said to have asked Lazio about defensive duo Stefan de Vrij and Wallace – both of whom are of interest to manager Jurgen Klopp, according to the article.
Klopp has been looking to complete a deal for Southampton defender Virgil Van Dijk this Summer, but the Premier League club have resisted the approach so far.
That has left the German having to look at other options, with De Vrij and Wallace both seen as potential alternative signings.
Lazio are unlikely to be keen to lose either centre-back, but could be persuaded should the right bid be made.
