Juventus have made an improved offer for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can.
The German international is still yet to sign a new contract to extend his stay at Anfield and that has given the Serie A champions hope that they can secure him this Summer.
They have already made an offer for Can which was immediately rejected by Liverpool, but they are hopeful that this increased bid could see the club tempted into a deal.
Can is highly rated by manager Jurgen Klopp, but the board will not allow the former Bayer Leverkusen man to run down his contract and leave for nothing in a year.
Klopp is said to be hopeful that Can will put pen to paper once he returns from his extended break following his participation in the Confederations Cup recently.
Can is reported to want assurances over his role next season and is keen to be given an indication that he will start games regularly.
His concerns around his place are understandable given the amount of midfielders already in Klopp’s squad, with RB Leipzig man Naby Keita a transfer target.
