Liverpool defender Joe Gomez looks set to be allowed to make a loan exit from the club.
The England under-21 international is likely to be loaned out for the duration of the 2017/18 season in order to help him gain more first-team experience.
Gomez moved to Anfield from Charlton Athletic back in the Summer of 2015 after impressing Liverpool scouts and then manager Brendan Rodgers.
But he suffered a season ending injury in the September of the 2015/16 season before Rodgers was replaced by current boss Jurgen Klopp.
He struggled to get much first-team football last season and was limited to appearances in the FA Cup against Plymouth Argyle and Wolverhampton Wanderers before returning to the under-23 squad.
Klopp is keen to bring Holland international Virgil Van Dijk to Anfield from Premier League side Southampton and his arrival would push Gomez further down the pecking order.
Championship runners-up Brighton & Hove Albion are eager to complete a loan move for Gomez in the coming weeks.
