Liverpool are set to make a move for Hull City defender Andy Robertson.
The Scotland international has been identified as the main left-back target for the Summer as manager Jurgen Klopp keeps the bulk of his transfer funds for more expensive targets.
Robertson is likely to set the club back around £10m – which will be covered by the likely departure of another left-back in the form of Spaniard Alberto Moreno.
No acceptable offers have been tabled for the former Sevilla man, with Napoli and Swansea City both keen, with Liverpool holding out for a deal worth £15m.
Klopp is keeping the majority of his funds this Summer back for potential deals with RB Leipzig and Southampton for Naby Keita and Virgil Van Dijk respectively.
Each could potentially cost £70m and the German will need most of his kitty along with income from sales if he’s going to be able to bring them both to Anfield.
It remains to be seen whether Robertson would be first-choice or if he will play second fiddle to current incumbent James Milner.
