Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made a fresh attempt to sign Poland international Piotr Zielinski.
That’s according to a report from Il Mattino, in which it is claimed that the German has made an offer worth £25m to Napoli to sign the midfielder.
Klopp saw the former Udinese and Empoli man join the Serie A club last Summer and trying to convince him to move to Anfield instead.
And it looks like he is still keen to bring the twenty-three year old to the Premier League this Summer if the report claiming he has made the bid is accurate.
Zielinski had a promising first season with Napoli after appearing in all but two of their Serie A matches.
But Klopp will need to go back with a more substantial offer if he is to land a deal to bring Zielinski to Anfield, as he has a €70m release clause in his contract at the San Paolo, and they have immediately rejected the opening offer.
Klopp’s top target for the midfield this Summer is RB Leipzig man Naby Keita, but the German club are refusing to sell the Guinea international unless a huge offer is tabled.
