Real Madrid playmaker Isco is set to put pen to paper on a new contract.
The Spain international has been linked with a move to Liverpool, but it looks like any move will have to be put on ice with the news that he is about to extend his deal until 2022.
Marca are reporting that the twenty-five year old has agreed terms on the extension and will sign the contract shortly.
Reports earlier this season claimed that representatives of Isco had spoken to Liverpool about a move to Anfield, as well as with Manchester City about linking up with compatriot Pep Guardiola.
But it now looks like the two Premier League clubs, along with Spurs, will have to look elsewhere for reinforcements.
The idea of Isco becoming a Liverpool player has met with excitement and disbelief from supporters.
