Burnley defender Michael Keane is looking to leave the Premier League club at the end of the season.
That’s according to reports this week which claim that the England international centre-back will spark a transfer scramble.
And that race is set to include Liverpool – who are on the lookout for the defensive reinforcement at the end of the campaign.
It wouldn’t be a straightforward move for the twenty-four year old should manager Jurgen Klopp decide to bid for the defender, however.
Tottenham, Manchester United and Everton are all set to make offers to sign the £30m rated centre-back as well.
Klopp has prioritised Southampton defender Virgil Van Dijk and Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly for this Summer, but Keane could be a cheaper and more attainable alternative.
His is not a name that will excite many Liverpool fans, but his solid defensive performances for Burnley have been fairly impressive this season.
