Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has said that he would relish the chance to play alongside Philippe Coutinho.
The Ivory Coast international said that he would like to play alongside the Brazilian international as well as his compatriot Neymar – who joined Barcelona after Toure left.
“Would I like to be Brazilian? Playing with Neymar, playing with Philippe Coutinho, I want to play with them.” he told GloboEsporte.
“Maybe I would have to change my passport, and we will see!” he added.
It doesn’t appear that these comments are particularly serious, given that Toure’s time is running out at City.
The chances of Coutinho moving to the Etihad while the thirty-three year old is still are very slim indeed.
And the odds of Toure being signed by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp are even slimmer given his age, wages and lack of mobility.
