Inter regret Coutinho sale

Ausilio has admitted the mistake in letting Coutinho go

Inter Milan director Piero Ausilio has said that selling Philippe Coutinho is “a regret”.

The Italian club allowed the Brazilian playmaker to move to Liverpool four years ago in January 2013 in a deal worth a reported fee of £8.5m.

And Ausilio has said that it is one of the biggest mistakes he has made during his two decades at the San Siro.

“It was a great regret for me to have to sell him.” he told ESPN.

“Perhaps one of my greatest regrets in over twenty years at Inter.” he added.

Coutinho has become one of the key players at Anfield during those four years and is being chased by La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid as well as Paris Saint Germain.

He signed a new contract last week and stated his commitment to helping manager Jurgen Klopp bring success to the club.

    1. A bit late for regrets now. They should have been crying a few months after. We have been robbed by Itallian clubs, but in this deal we have made our money back and more.
