Liverpool midfielder Emre Can could be allowed to leave the club in the Summer.
That’s because the German international has so far been unable to agree new terms on an extension to his contract at Anfield.
And that is despite talks beginning back in the Summer, before the current season kicked off – over six months ago.
Echo journalist James Pearce revealed the news that the former Bayer Leverkusen man “believes he’s worth more than Liverpool are offering.” in a web Q&A today.
“I wouldn’t say Emre Can is definitely off but his future is certainly up in the air.” he said.
“He has been stalling over a new contract and clearly believes he’s worth more than Liverpool are offering.
“Hopefully it will be sorted before the end of the season.
“If he doesn’t sign then it’s likely he will be sold because I can’t see Liverpool letting him enter the final year of his current contract.” he finished.
Italian champions Juventus have been closely monitoring his situation recently.
