AC Milan have reportedly offered Gianluigi Donnarumma a new contract to try and fend off interest in the young goalkeeper.
The teenage Italian international has been in fine form for the Serie A club and that has seen scouts from Barcelona and Real Madrid take interest – as well as those from Liverpool.
Sport are reporting that Milan have put a deal worth €100,000 a week on the table for the seventeen year old in the hope that they can fight off the suitors interested in Donnarumma.
The contract would run until 2022 and Milan have put a hefty €50m valuation on the youngster in order to fend off the interested parties.
Donnarumma isn’t said to be in a hurry to leave the Rossoneri, but a big money offer would make them think seriously about letting the in-demand keeper leave the San Siro.
Liverpool are in need of a solution to the goalkeeping situation, but whether a seventeen year old is the answer remains to be seen.
Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius are likely to be allowed to fight it out for the number one spot over the rest of the season before manager Jurgen Klopp considers his options.
