Barcelona star Neymar is doing his best to persuade Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho to join him at the Camp Nou.
The Brazil international is keen to use his friendship with Coutinho to try and encourage him to reject interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain and join the Catalan club instead, according to Don Balon.
Paris Saint Germain are reportedly lining up a £40m offer to try and lure Coutinho to France in January, which is far too low a fee to make Liverpool even consider parting with him.
Real Madrid are banned from signing any players until the Summer and Barcelona are keen to use that to their advantage by making a move in the new year.
A big money move during the winter transfer window is usually rare, but Barcelona remain in the Champions League and Coutinho could be added to their squad thanks to Liverpool not being in European competition this season.
Coutinho is said to be happy at Anfield and not actively looking for a move away following the best spell of football in his career under Jurgen Klopp.
But the prospect of playing for Barcelona is usually a big pull for South American players, so it remains to be seen whether he could resist the lure if a bid is made.
