Klopp will make second Pulisic bid

Tuchel gives Pulisic instructions during a game against Bayern Munich

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will make another attempt to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic in January.

He had an £11m bid rejected for the teenager back in the Summer, but has not lost interest and will return with an improved bid in the new year.

The injury to Philippe Coutinho and impending absence of Sadio Mane, for the African Nations Cup, will see Klopp attempt to bring another attacking midfielder in.

And he has reportedly decided to bring forward plans to try and lure the eighteen year old to Anfield to the January transfer window.

Liverpool have made a fine start to the season and lie in second place just a point off Chelsea in first place – but Klopp doesn’t have excessive depth to his squad.

Another injury to an attacking player would see his options further depleted, and so he has decided to try and bring another player in during the Winter window.

Pulisic has become a regular in Thomas Tuchel’s Dortmund side and they would not want to let him move on, but an offer of £25m could prove sufficient if reports are to be believed.
