Liverpool are keen on making a move for Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac.

That’s according to Bild, who are reporting that the Bosnian is being lined up for a free transfer switch to Anfield next Summer.

The left-back, who has been with the German club since 2011, is out of contract next Summer and has been impressing with his performances.

But Jurgen Klopp will face competition for Kolasinac from Premier League rivals Chelsea and West Ham, according to the article.

Klopp will be hoping that the relationship between his assistant Zeljko Buvac, a compatriot of Kolasinac, and the presence of former Schalke defender Joel Matip in the squad will help swing things his way.

James Milner has been utilised as a makeshift left-back so far this season with the future of Alberto Moreno coming under increasing speculation.

While Milner has done a very good job covering the defensive role, Klopp is still keen to sign a left-back after missing out on Ben Chilwell in the Summer.
