Marseille youngster Maxime Lopez is a target for Liverpool.
That’s according to BeSoccer, who are claiming that the teenager is being heavily scouted by the club after breaking into the first team at the French side.
But Jurgen Klopp will face stiff competition from Arsenal if he decides to make an offer for Lopez, with Arsene Wenger also said to be keen on the midfielder.
The eighteen year old has risen through the youth ranks of the Ligue 1 club and he made his first start for them against rivals Bordeaux this week.
He got his first assist after coming off the bench against Guingamp earlier this season when he laid on a chance for on-loan Newcastle United man Florian Thauvin to tuck away.
Lopez has made four substitute appearances as well as the one start for Marseille so far this season and is a highly-rated prospect at the club.
So any move won’t be easy or particularly cheap for the French youngster.
