Liverpool will offer Philippe Coutinho a new contract.
That’s according to Spanish outlet Sport – who have also reported that the Brazilian is keen to join Barcelona.
It is claimed that the new deal will be offered to the playmaker in order to try and hold off the interest from the Spanish giants.
Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain have also been linked with moves for the former Inter Milan player as he continues to impress with his fine form in a Liverpool shirt.
Coutinho is contracted to the club until 2020 having signed a new contract just last year.
But the club are looking to improve his terms in order to keep him from eyeing a move to join former Reds Luis Suarez and Javier Mascherano at the Camp Nou.
Coutinho is said to be seen as the ideal long-term replacement for Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta.
