Inter Milan have entered the race to sign Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho.
That’s according to Calciomercato – who are reporting that the Frenchman is a loan target for the Italian club.
The article claims that Inter boss Frank de Boer will make a loan swoop in January, when the market reopens, with an option to make the deal permanent next Summer.
Sakho has been linked with a return to French football with Ligue 1 strugglers Lille set to make a similar offer for his services.
The former Paris Saint Germain defender has not played a single minute for Jurgen Klopp’s first-team so far this season and hasn’t even been part of a matchday squad.
He has been restricted to playing for Michael Beale’s under-23 side so far and his prospects at Anfield look bleak.
Sakho refused to leave the club on loan in the Summer, but he is likely to accept a move in January having reportedly given up on winning over Klopp.
