Stoke set to pip Reds to Martins Indi

Martins Indi in action for Porto against Braga

Stoke City are set to beat Liverpool to the signing of Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi – unless the Reds make a late bid.

That’s according to reports today which claim the Dutch international has flown to England ready for a medical on Tuesday morning.

Martins Indi has been told that he is surplus to requirements at the Portuguese club, according to O Jogo.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp reportedly had a £4.3m bid rejected for the versatile defender as he plans for life without Mamadou Sakho.

Porto are said to have demanded £6m for the left-sided Holland international who joined them from Feyenoord.

But it now seems that they have been prepared to allow Martins Indi leave on loan for the rest of the season.

Will Klopp make a late move to try and beat Stoke to his signing?
