The agent of Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has revealed that “no agreement” has been made for his client to join Nice.
Mino Raiola has said that a deal has not been agreed for the Italian forward to join the French side.
Reports today have claimed that the former Manchester City man is set to make the switch to the Ligue 1 side after flying over the Channel for discussions.
RMC Sport are reporting that Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivère has personally met with Balotelli in order to smooth over the transfer.
But Raiola has insisted that no deal has been put in place for the ex-Inter Milan and AC Milan player to join Nice.
“There’s no agreement between the clubs and no medical today.” he said.
Nice cannot afford to pay Balotelli’s full wage of £90,000 per week and are looking for Liverpool to supplement the deal in order to allow him to leave Anfield and join them.
Balotelli would need to take a significant pay reduction in order to make a permanent transfer to Nice and so it looks like a loan switch with most of his salary coming from Anfield is on the cards.
