Sevilla interested in taking Alberto back

Alberto failed to make an impact in his one season with the club

Spanish club Sevilla are looking to re-sign Luis Alberto this Summer.

Liverpool signed the attacking midfielder from the Europa League winners in the Summer of 2013.

But he failed to make much of an impression at Anfield under Brendan Rodgers in his debut season.

He was sent out on loan in the Summer of 2014 and then again a year ago. He spent 2014/15 with Malaga before spending last season with Deportivo La Coruna.

The latter loan spell was more successful and it seems to have gained the attention of his former club.

Sevilla are reported to be lining up a £5m bid, but the Reds are holding out for a deal worth at least £7m for the playmaker.

It looks like Alberto will be making a permanent return to his homeland this Summer.
