Reds set to fight Manchester clubs for Matuidi

    Matuidi is part of France’s Euro 2016 squad

    Liverpool are set to battle Manchester City and Manchester United for Paris Saint Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi.

    And according to reports the French international midfielder has been given permission to fly to England for talks.

    Goal France say that Matuidi has been told that he can leave the French champions this Summer.

    The article claims that they have put a £30m price tag on his shoulders.

    United and City both have new managers in charge ahead of the new season in Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola.

    Each are likely to be looking to improve their squads – and Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is doing exactly the same thing.

    A midfielder is high on the German’s priority list and he has been frustrated in pursuits already this transfer window.
