Crystal Palace are set to make an offer for Liverpool striker Christian Benteke after agreeing terms with the forward.
The Premier League club will make their move after losing out on Benteke’s compatriot Michy Batshuayi to London rivals Chelsea.
Benteke has accepted that he will need to move on in order to get regular first-team football.
The Belgian international, currently on duty at Euro 2016, has been informed that his chances will limited next season thanks to the return to fitness of Danny Ings and the arrival of Sadio Mane from Southampton.
Benteke was signed from Aston Villa a year ago by former Reds boss Brendan Rodgers in a £32.5 deal and the club will be looking to recoup as much of that as possible by putting a £30m price tag on his head this Summer.
Despite scoring at a decent rate last season, Benteke does not fit into Jurgen Klopp’s plans and will slip further down the pecking order if he stayed at the club.
