Liverpool have sold striker Jerome Sinclair to Watford.

The teenager is out of contract this Summer and had agreed terms on a five year contract with the Premier League club.

But thanks to his age the Reds were due a compensation fee and have been in negotiations with Watford to agree on a price to avoid a lengthy tribunal.

And resolution has been found with Sinclair moving for a fee of £4m.

“Following amicable and professional discussions between Watford and Liverpool, the clubs have reached an agreement regarding a transfer. Liverpool would like to wish Jerome all the best in his new career with Watford.” a statement on Liverpoolfc.com reads.

Sinclair reportedly asked for considerably more wages to sign a new contract at Anfield, but the club would not meet his demands.
