Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has admitted that he isn’t sure where he stands at Anfield.
Boss Jurgen Klopp has been linked with moves for midfielders Piotr Zielinski and Mahmoud Dahoud after already snapping up Marko Grujic.
And that has left the future of the Brazilian in some doubt after he played something of a peripheral role under the German last season.
“There have been some changes last season, with the coaching change.” Lucas told Radio Joven Pan.
“I still do not know exactly what will be my role within the group, but I am returning on Thursday to start the preseason.
“It is the first transfer window in which Klopp will participate more actively in Liverpool, so I’ll just get a better idea when I return.
“Whatever happens, the idea, as always, is to stay in Europe, especially in England, which has a very strong and good league to play.” he finished.
