Klopp doesn’t want to discuss Gotze

Klopp and Gotze worked together for four years at Dortmund

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that he doesn’t want to talk about Mario Gotze after being asked about his reported interest in the German international.

Gotze, who has just over a year left on his deal at Bayern Munich, has been strongly tipped to move to Anfield in the Summer.

It is believed that the former Borussia Dortmund man would relish the chance to link up with his former manager at Liverpool next season.

Klopp, who developed Gotze until he joined Bayern in 2013, is believed to be looking at a deal worth between £15m and £20m for the twenty-three year old.

But he has refused to be drawn on the speculation and only wished to discuss Joel Matip and Marko Grujic – players who’ve already been signed.

“It shouldn’t surprise you that we don’t talk about any names.” he said.

“We can talk about [Joel] Matip and [Marko] Grujic, because these are fixed deals.

“The problem is, you don’t know these players- ah wait, you know Matip!

“Seriously, I never comment on any rumours. I´m happy for Mario that he played such a good game after being out for a long time with an injury.

“In addition to that, there is nothing more to say.” he concluded.

Rumours have surfaced that say Binary Uno are looking to sponsor the club – which would only add more financial power for Klopp to wield in the transfer market on players such as Gotze.
